Our Position

At Anheuser-Busch InBev, we brew our beers to be enjoyed responsibly by individuals of legal drinking age. We are adamantly opposed to alcohol abuse, including drunk driving and underage drinking.

• Research shows the vast majority of consumers who choose to drink do so responsibly. This is not only more favorable for individuals and society; it is also in the long-term interest of our company and its brands. No company benefits when its products are misused.


• Alcohol may have negative health consequences for young people because their bodies have not yet reached maturity. We support existing legal drinking age restrictions, as well as their introduction where no restrictions exist. We also promote education for bar and store staff to help them learn how to properly check a patron’s age, programs that remind parents of the importance of talking with their children about underage drinking, and programs that remind young people to respect the law and not drink when underage.


• We support strong enforcement of Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) restrictions to help prevent drunk driving. We believe that proper enforcement is the key to tackling this issue, whatever the specific level of restriction, which varies from country to country. We support education programs for bar and wait staff that help them learn to sell and serve responsibly, as well as consumer campaigns that promote the use of designated drivers.
