Becoming the Leaders of Tomorrow, Are You Ready for the Challenge?
AT AB INBEV PEOPLE GROW AT THE PACE OF THEIR TALENT
Starting his career path within AB InBev at such a young age meant he had to strive to earn the trust of those colleagues more experienced than him and learn from them. This enabled him to become the leader that he is today.
Since then, he has faced many challenges, first as Engineering Manager still at SABMiller, later as Maintenance Manager, and currently as Regional Maintenance Coordinator at AB InBev. Edson firmly believes that he couldn't have overcome any of those challenges without his team.
Don't Be Afraid of Not Having All the Answers
If he had to advise future leaders, Edson would tell them to take the fear of not having all the answers and turn it into action. He would also recommend constantly reminding themselves that failure can become a strength and lead to success. But above all, the best advice Edson could give future leaders is to always listen to their team.
Think Big, Empower Your Team
How to turn your team members into leaders? In Edson's opinion, the first step would be to communicate with them and learn from their experiences. Also, good leaders think beyond themselves. They help their team members reach their full potential and perceive any challenge as an opportunity for growth.
AB InBev can help future leaders like yourself grow and bring ideas to the table. Edson hopes that his personal experiences can inspire you to join our team.
