The Start of a Journey

 

Shay started her career at AB InBev five years ago as a Sales Program intern. She joined full time through our Global Management Trainee Program, and since then, she’s taken on three different roles in our North America Zone. Shay currently is Senior Brand Manager for Stella Artois leading innovations.

Driving Innovation to Create Unique Experiences

 

Shay and her team are always looking for new ideas to transform into tangible and meaningful experiences for our consumers. On the packaging side, her team developed a new-to-the-world aluminum bottle for Stella Artois aimed at providing a great experience for consumers in places where glass is not a safe option.

They also managed to improve their performance metrics during the pandemic while thinking of different solutions to achieve their goals.

Helping Restaurants Get Back on Their Feet

 

When bars & restaurants reopened for outdoor dining in early 2021, Shay and her team knew they had the perfect product to welcome consumers back. But they also knew that the hospitality industry was heavily affected during the pandemic and needed additional support. The team came up with the idea of donating a portion of the profits from the new Stella Artois Aluminum bottle to several restaurant relief programs. Stella Artois partnered with the James Beard Foundation and for each bottle sold, Stella Artois made a $0.50 donation to the James Beard Foundation's Open for Good Campaign which helps independent restaurants survive, rebuild, and thrive. This way, consumers could contribute to their favorite restaurants while enjoying a Stella Artois

For Shay, Stella's "Open For Good" aluminum bottle is one of the most rewarding and challenging projects she has ever worked on. A project that wouldn´t be possible without the talented cross-functional team she is part of.
