For 110 years, Cervecería Paraguaya (Cervepar) has been uniting the people of Paraguay to overcome difficult times. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, our colleagues have stepped up again to support local families, front-line workers and businesses.

To help improve hygiene and stop the spread of the virus, Cervepar produced and donated thousands of bottles of disinfecting gel for the Ministry of Health and other community organizations serving hospitals, senior homes and more. The team also developed Ñande Havo vegetable soap, made with cassava, a local root used to brew Cervepar's Pilsen Ñande beer. More than 80,000 bars of Havo are now being distributed to encourage hand washing across Paraguay.
Our Brahma brand transformed its billboards into ‘sanitary points' for delivery drivers, who are at higher risk of infection due to the large number of people they interact with and frequent cash transactions. Brahma Sanitary Points offer a place for drivers to stop and sanitize their hands, drink water and charge their mobile phones.
Nationwide lockdown measures made it difficult for many families to access basic necessities, so Cervepar colleagues and fleet drivers assisted in the donation and delivery of food and supplies to hundreds of people in need. They also launched Tienda Cerca, a free, online platform enabling small, local shops to continue operating by taking, fulfilling and delivering groceries to people's homes.
Meanwhile, Apoya A Un Local was created to support struggling bars and restaurants. The program allows consumers to purchase vouchers for future use at their favorite places and the amount is matched by Stella Artois, doubling the value.
These initiatives are just a few examples of what our colleagues and partners are doing around the world with ingenuity, agility and true sense of ownership. See more about AB InBev's response to the pandemic here.
