Grupo Modelo Supports COVID-19 Relief in Mexico

For nearly 100 years, Grupo Modelo has been there to help when Mexico needs it most. Together with local governments, our teams are helping citizens battle COVID-19 by making and distributing 300,000 bottles of hand sanitizer and more than a half-million bottles of clean drinking water. For families struggling to maintain good hygiene practices, we're supplying 200,000+ liters of sanitary water every week. And for the National Institute of Respiratory Diseases (INER), we recently expanded a modular clinic to help diagnose and treat COVID-19 patients.

Among many efforts, Grupo Modelo is also coming to the aid of local businesses and their employees. Initiatives like Academia de Meseros Modelo and Ayuda un Restaurante offer support for pubs, restaurants and staff, while Tienditas Cerca provides a free online ordering platform and home delivery services to more than 12,000 small groceries and retailers so they may continue to safely serve their customers during the pandemic.

These initiatives are just a few examples of what our colleagues and partners are doing around the world with ingenuity, agility and true sense of ownership.
